What are the limitations of the basic package?
The basic Oculu package allows you to upload and play videos using the Oculu video player with full access to platform features, but includes limits on video plays and storage.
The basic package is designed to be simple and easy to try. You can sign up, upload your videos, and use the full Oculu platform to explore features such as geo-based video distribution, AI Search Optimization tools, captions, and SRT support. Usage is capped, making the basic package best suited for testing and evaluation.
The basic package is intended for trial use, and Oculu reserves the right to refuse content or cancel accounts that do not meet platform guidelines.
Can I change plans at any time?
Yes, you can change your Oculu plan at any time by going to the Account tab in your dashboard and selecting an option to upgrade or downgrade.
From your dashboard, click Account to view your current plan and available options. Changes can be made in just a few clicks whenever your needs change.
My monthly usage exceeds what’s included in my chosen package. What should I do?
If your monthly usage exceeds what’s included in your Oculu package, you can upgrade to the next plan in your dashboard, or contact us to discuss a custom package that fits your volume, storage, and delivery needs.
For higher-usage customers, custom packages are often more cost-effective than standard published pricing for large-scale delivery requirements.
What makes up my Annual charges?
All of the Oculu plans are based on an annual billing. The next annual fee will be due 1 year from the date of purchase even if it is within a calendar month. Oculu will automatically charge your credit card that we have securely on file the annual fee when due. Please let us know 30 days in advance of your annual fee due date if you want to cancel your service.
Does each plan comes with a specified limit for the number of monthly video plays and storage available?
If you exceed these monthly amounts, you will be charged $0.25 for each additional 1,000 video plays and or ad impressions ,$0.50 for each additional 1 GB of storage ,$0.15 for each additional 1 GB of bandwidth.
How do I convert from a basic / free package?
If you have a basic / free account, you can convert it to a standard paid account at any time. To upgrade your plan, click the Upgrade button from within your “My Account” tab on your Oculu dashboard. Select your new plan, confirm your payment information, and confirm your upgrade. As a free account user, you can click a button on the upgrade page to select the plan that’s right for you.
I have a lot of videos and want to use your GEO optimization tool. How do I make each video specific to what I want AI engines to see?
To make each Oculu video specific for AI engines using the GEO optimization tool, Oculu automatically creates a JSON configuration for each video that defines the key details you want AI systems to understand and associate with that content.
You can then review and customize that per-video JSON to refine signals such as topic context, geo/location relevance, titles, descriptions, and other metadata—so each video is optimized individually rather than treated like a generic upload.
